The Storm is your current location. The promise is your destination.
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

The storm may be where you are standing, but its not where God is taking you. I love this quote by Charles Spurgeon, “The very strom that frightens us is the same place where Christ meets us.”
Sometimes the clous are so heavy that they make your present pain feel permanent but your current location is not your final destinaton. The promise is still ahead of you, even when you cannot see the full road from where you stand.
Reaching that promise does not require you to keep forcing your way forward. Sometime it requires a U-turn: repentance, surrender, obedience, or simple returning to God you drifted away from.
The promise was never lost. It was waiting for you to turn around.
Maybe security doesn’t come from seeing everything.
“He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

I have learned that constant awareness is not the same as saftey. You can have cameras facing every direction and still live afraid of what might be outside the frame.
Faith teaches us a different kind of security.
You don’t have to see everything because God does. You do not have to understand every movement because nothing moves beyond His sight. Peace is not knowing everything around you, peace is knowing the one watching over you never looks away.
Security is not having a better view maybe it is finally trusting the view of God.
